1.What is folksonomy? It is the practice of creating and managing tags and to categorize content.
2.How does it work? It uses some of the following: synonyms (multiple tags for the same concept), homonymy (same tag used with different meaning), and polysemy (same tag with multiple related meanings) the efficiency of indexing and searching of content is lower.[3] Other reasons for not correct or irrelevant tags (also called meta noise) are the lack of stemming (normalization of word inflections) and the of users and contexts.
